Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Jobs in Orlando, FL — In-Home
Posted August 14, 2026 · PT Near Me · Contract / PRN / Part-time · Pay $60–70/hr
Orlando's mix of I-4 commuter traffic, theme-park-area surface streets, and a fast-growing senior population produces consistent in-home PT demand. PTAs based here see a healthy blend of motor-vehicle crash recovery and post-surgical rehab without the productivity quotas of a clinic setting.
From a Downtown / SoDo / Winter Park home base, our PTAs typically work across MetroWest, College Park, Lake Nona, Hunter's Creek, and into Apopka or Winter Garden when it makes sense. You set the radius — and the back-office assigns you visits inside it, never beyond it.
Your service area
Working as a PTA in Orlando, Orange County
Orlando sits in Orange County. I-4 commuter volume and a fast-growing 65+ population produce a mix of MVC recovery, total-joint, and complex post-surgical cases.
The back-office keeps assignments inside your chosen radius, so I-4 and 408 traffic isn't a daily burden.
Communities you'd typically cover from a Orlando base
- MetroWest
- College Park
- Lake Nona
- Hunter's Creek
- SoDo
- Winter Park
- Dr. Phillips
Visits are always scoped to the coverage radius you set with the back-office — Orlando openings are never dispatched outside your stated service area.
Job description
PT Near Me is a Florida in-home physical therapy company. Our own licensed clinicians treat injury and post-accident patients one-on-one in their homes. We're hiring a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team and deliver skilled therapy in patients' homes — a strong fit for a motivated PTA who values autonomy, flexible scheduling, and patient-centered care, with competitive per-visit pay, hours you set, and the freedom to add visits whenever you want. We handle scheduling and the administrative back-office so you can focus on treating.
What you'll do
- Deliver skilled treatment under a PT-authored plan of care in patients' homes — therapeutic exercise, mobility and gait training, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and trigger-point techniques.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises, mobility strategies, and safety.
- Document each visit accurately and communicate progress to the supervising PT.
- Keep every home visit safe and professional.
- Treat a range of cases — post-accident, post-surgical, and chronic-condition patients.
What you need
- Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program.
- Active Florida PTA license (or license-eligible).
- Knowledge of outpatient/home rehab techniques, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to manage your time and service area independently.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for helping patients regain function at home.
- Home-based care experience preferred.
What we offer
- Competitive per-visit pay (rates discussed by region during intake).
- Flexible scheduling — set your own hours and caseload.
- Minimal commute — patients in their homes, near you.
- Scheduling and administrative back-office handled for you.
- Supportive team and streamlined documentation tools.
Job type: Contract / PRN / Part-time. Specialty: Home Health / in-home rehab. Location: On the road, in patients' homes.
Florida-licensed PTs and PTAs.
