Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Jobs in Old Town, FL — In-Home
Posted September 18, 2026 · PT Near Me · Contract / PRN / Part-time · Pay $60–70/hr
Old Town sits where US-19/98 crosses the Suwannee River in Dixie County, the main north-south route along this stretch of the Big Bend. Crash referrals come off that corridor, and for many residents here an in-home visit is far more practical than a long drive to a clinic in a larger town.
From an Old Town base our PTAs typically cover Cross City, Fanning Springs, Chiefland, and into Suwannee and the surrounding Dixie County communities. Rural distances are real but roads are quiet, and scheduling clusters visits by area.

Job description
PT Near Me is a Florida in-home physical therapy company. Our own licensed clinicians treat injury and post-accident patients one-on-one in their homes. We're hiring a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team and deliver skilled therapy in patients' homes — a strong fit for a motivated PTA who values autonomy, flexible scheduling, and patient-centered care, with competitive per-visit pay, hours you set, and the freedom to add visits whenever you want. We handle scheduling and the administrative back-office so you can focus on treating.
What you'll do
- Deliver skilled treatment under a PT-authored plan of care in patients' homes — therapeutic exercise, mobility and gait training, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and trigger-point techniques.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises, mobility strategies, and safety.
- Document each visit accurately and communicate progress to the supervising PT.
- Keep every home visit safe and professional.
- Treat a range of cases — post-accident, post-surgical, and chronic-condition patients.
What you need
- Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program.
- Active Florida PTA license (or license-eligible).
- Knowledge of outpatient/home rehab techniques, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to manage your time and service area independently.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for helping patients regain function at home.
- Home-based care experience preferred.
What we offer
- Pay works out to $60–70 per hour, billed per visit as a 1099 contractor — your exact per-visit rates are confirmed by region during intake.
- Flexible scheduling — set your own hours and caseload.
- Minimal commute — patients in their homes, near you.
- Scheduling and administrative back-office handled for you.
- Supportive team and streamlined documentation tools.
Job type: Contract / PRN / Part-time. Specialty: Home Health / in-home rehab. Location: On the road, in patients' homes.
