Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Jobs in Miami, FL — In-Home

Posted August 14, 2026 · PT Near Me · Contract / PRN / Part-time · Pay $60–70/hr

Miami's crash and post-op volume — driven by I-95, the Palmetto, the Dolphin Expressway, and dense urban traffic — keeps in-home PTA demand high year-round. Bilingual (English/Spanish) PTAs are especially welcome; many of our Miami patients prefer treatment in Spanish.

From a Brickell / Coral Gables / Midtown / Kendall base, our PTAs commonly cover patients in Little Havana, Doral, North Miami, and into Hialeah and South Miami. Because everything's local, you trade Miami traffic for short, predictable neighborhood visits — not a daily I-95 commute.

Your service area

Working as a PTA in Miami, Miami-Dade County

Miami sits in Miami-Dade County. I-95, the Palmetto, and the Dolphin Expressway keep crash and post-op referrals high year-round; bilingual (Spanish) clinicians are in especially strong demand.

Neighborhood-local routing means short, predictable visits instead of daily 95-corridor commuting.

Communities you'd typically cover from a Miami base

  • Brickell
  • Coral Gables
  • Little Havana
  • Doral
  • Kendall
  • North Miami
  • Hialeah

Visits are always scoped to the coverage radius you set with the back-office — Miami openings are never dispatched outside your stated service area.

Job description

PT Near Me is a Florida in-home physical therapy company. Our own licensed clinicians treat injury and post-accident patients one-on-one in their homes. We're hiring a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team and deliver skilled therapy in patients' homes — a strong fit for a motivated PTA who values autonomy, flexible scheduling, and patient-centered care, with competitive per-visit pay, hours you set, and the freedom to add visits whenever you want. We handle scheduling and the administrative back-office so you can focus on treating.

What you'll do

  • Deliver skilled treatment under a PT-authored plan of care in patients' homes — therapeutic exercise, mobility and gait training, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and trigger-point techniques.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises, mobility strategies, and safety.
  • Document each visit accurately and communicate progress to the supervising PT.
  • Keep every home visit safe and professional.
  • Treat a range of cases — post-accident, post-surgical, and chronic-condition patients.

What you need

  • Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program.
  • Active Florida PTA license (or license-eligible).
  • Knowledge of outpatient/home rehab techniques, anatomy, and medical terminology.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to manage your time and service area independently.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for helping patients regain function at home.
  • Home-based care experience preferred.

What we offer

  • Competitive per-visit pay (rates discussed by region during intake).
  • Flexible scheduling — set your own hours and caseload.
  • Minimal commute — patients in their homes, near you.
  • Scheduling and administrative back-office handled for you.
  • Supportive team and streamlined documentation tools.

Job type: Contract / PRN / Part-time. Specialty: Home Health / in-home rehab. Location: On the road, in patients' homes.

Florida-licensed PTs and PTAs.
